You know what they say: “What happens in Vegas…” but that would suck for my fans so…
The day before I was to fly out to Vegas for my friend’s bday, I found out that I was the winner of a radio contest that I randomly entered in LA. My prize: two Lady Gaga tix and a two-night stay at the MGM Grand Hotel… And this, my friends, is the start to a fabulous weekend!
Our FREE hotel room was AMAZING! 28th Floor of the MGM Grand! The hotel was bustling with people all day and night so there was always so much to do! I went to a TV pilot screening, candy shops, boutiques… all in our hotel. Not to mention they had FOUR Starbucks.
During the winter, a trip to Vegas, for non-gamblers, basically means you have one routine: 1) breakfast (feed the hangover); 2) Hit the Vegas strip (w/ drinks); 3) find somewhere nice for dinner (w/drinks); 4) head to a show (w/drinks); and 5) hit a Nightclub (w/drinks).
The highlight of the Vegas weekend for me were the shows. First night, we saw
Lady Gaga (thanks to 104.3myFM). Her show was amazing! One of the most creative sets I’ve ever seen. Second night we bought tix to
Zumanity, a part of the Cirque Du Soleil series. So entertaining! It was like a circus full of porn stars… Not for the underage!
On our last night, we made a last minute decision to go to The Laugh Factory – blah! Could’ve skipped this one but it was cheap and something to do.
Second favorite thing to do in Vegas is eat (w/drinks). We ate at a few good places like the cafe at Monte Carlo for brunch and Buzzio’s at Rio for dinner. We chose some disgusting restaurant in Paris for lunch one day (can’t remember the name). We walked the strip… A LOT (that’s really all there is to do during the day).
Overall, we had a GREAT trip! BUT if you’ve never been to Vegas, do not plan to be here more than three days… it gets old, Quick!
Pros: Zumanity. Cafe at Monte Carlo for Brunch. Tix 4 Less stands (they really work)
